[Early in the evening of July 9th, Susan Richards wakes up in a very, very strange place, an unfamiliar couch. In YOUR living room. She blinks and looks around, extremely confused. When this strange, blond woman sees you...her eyes go wide she disappears, clothes and all. Astute listeners may hear the sounds of her feet as she gets up and moves away from you and the couch.]

Wha! What on Earth?! WHO are you and WHERE am I?

[Susan's voice is pretty demanding for an invisible person who just woke up in your house, and it seems to be coming from all around you, her powers distorting it.

Maybe you could help talk some sense into her? Explain the situation? Perhaps you're feeling pretty mad? Break time, go nuts! This isn't locked to anyone!]

[Much, much later, Susan's voice will appear over the journal after she's collected herself and gotten out of whoever's house she wound up in]

Hello everyone. This is Susan Richards of the Fantastic Four. If there are any members of the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, the X-Men, or even anyone that just recognizes my name I would appreciate it if you would get in touch with me. Hell, even if you are just feeling helpful and are willing to share information, I'd really appreciate it. I've just arrived and I need help getting my bearings. I don't want to impose, but I really need some answers.

Also, if anyone comes across a blue jumpsuit with a 4 on it, I'd ask that they not touch it, its made of highly unstable molecules that can react oddly to anyone that isn't me.

[Her voice isn't terribly upset, more confused. Its not like she's never woken up in strange places or been in rough situations alone before. Thats...sort of what the Fantastic Four do!]

(OOC: Feel free to break time with the action portion of the post! I've got nobody in particular who needs to find her so she can wake up in anyone's living room that wants an Invisible Woman)

[Well, that's good to hear. He nods at first, but at her next question, he purses his lips and glances away uneasily.]

I... don't know. I hope they're okay... I was knocked out and captured at the Geffen-Meyer chemical plant- Iron Man's big trap for the Anti-Reg side. I haven't seen them since then.

There are plenty of superheroes here, but not all of them may be from your world. I'm probably not, for one thing.

Yep! Lots! My grandparents, and lots of Aunts and Uncles, and my sister, and Korra and Asami.

[Oh Pepper, if only you knew just how crazy Sue's universe was... Here's hoping yours never has to deal with Galactus and the Infinity Gauntlet]

Sometimes you just can't help it. Portal accidents happen. But there are plenty of decent aliens out there too.

[And Pepper's attitude suddenly makes a lot more sense. Their first operation...]

Thats something else new. The Chi'tauri come much later down the road for the Avengers in my world. Loki first, and then Kang...and Victor...

[She says this absentmindedly, like looking back on a dream]

Anyway. Thank you for hearing me out. I suppose I should be attempting to find a place to sleep tonight. Its good to meet you, Pepper, and I apologize if I've said anything to make you feel out of sorts. There's a lot I'm going to have to get used to it seems. When I've had a chance to talk to Billy, I'll let you know. In the meantime, please don't talk bring it up.

[She stands, offering a tight smile. This Pepper clearly had a bit more bite to her, and she liked that]

I've gathered that much, that there are lots of other worlds and not just ones like mine. Your world has superhumans, then?

Lovely. I'm sure you make it through that alright, at least your team does. I've met Patriot personally, though none of the others.

Its all a big mess back home, but since we aren't getting back anytime soon we may as well concentrate on immediate concerns. How long have you been here, Billy?

Yeah, it does. Metahumans and people who got their powers other ways, like me.

[That's an exceptionally welcome surprise. Considering Luceti's youngsters seem to like to call him old.]

Going around two and a half years now. Sounds like your Stark has been on it quite a bit longer.

It's been about two months now. It's possible to get sent home, but apparently it's completely random. Some people end up trapped here for years.

Sounds like research gets a lot of people in tight jams.

[Sheepish laugh. He can be a little open about this with her, he feels.]

You mean... there's more to your powers than just turning invisible.

Ahhhh, and your powers are?

[She sounds a bit nonplussed. Metahumans are pretty common]

I'm Susan Richards, the Invisible Woman.

At least twenty-four years. He's been Iron Man as long as the Fantastic Four have been together. I think the only heroes that've been active longer than us are the Hulk and maybe Captain America if you don't count that time-gap.

@$&% it. That...god, I don't even want to think about that. Days are Ok. Weeks I can handle. But YEARS? I could miss YEARS out of the lives of my children?!

[Her face...it looks a bit angry now. REALLY angry]

Simple mind control, enhanced reflexes and athleticism, and vodou magic, which I use primarily in combat for teleportation, shields, and immunity to heat and fire. Basically.

Nice to meet you, Ms. Richards. I'm Anita Fite, or Empress.

Mmmhmmm. Hold out your hand.

[If he does so, he'll find himself touching an invisible barrier...]

[Again, all differences Pepper can be thankful for, though she isn't naive enough to not think the enemies possible, at least. It also speaks to what Sue's experienced, and fought against herself--and Pepper has to wonder what Tony will be like, when he's got some more years as Iron Man under his belt.

The woman stands, and Pepper nods up at her, deciding to stay and finish her coffee.] There should be a list of vacant residences downstairs, so that's probably a good place to start. And I am glad to have spoken to you; it's definitely been enlightening.

[One tight smile for another. Pepper does indeed have bite, wrapped in a layer of perfect politeness.]

Of course. And considering how important the subject is to both of us, I'm sure you'll find that opportunity soon.

[Your powers remind her a bit of someone she knows from home, more than one...actually. But hey, good guys are good guys]

If it wasn't apparent, I can become invisible, but I also can make force fields and control invisible, but solid force-constructs.

How long have you been here?

[Oh, whoops. Probably should have explained that better.]

No, no! Time works differently here. That's what everybody says, anyway. It's like... while we're here, time doesn't move at all in our own worlds. When you go home it'll be like you never left.

[Not to go all mood-whiplash on you, but she visible calms, but she's still breathing heavy]

It stops? So, when I get back. Franklin and Valeria won't have missed me at all?

Twenty-four years, damn. I imagine a lot happens in a world of heroes in a time-span like that. So--tell me. What's the Superhuman Registration Act? Because I have the feeling it has to do with me--or, not me. Other Tony Stark. You know what I mean.

[Yeah, whiplash achieved. Billy shrugs his shoulders, biting his lip a bit.]

Pretty sure, yeah. I can't say I know from experience, but I know a few people who've gone through it themselves.

[He slowly holds out his hand, expecting something along the lines of her taking his to turn him invisible, but just touches the barrier and reels it back.]

Whoa! You can create barriers!?

[She's not sure how much to tell Tony, given her chat with Pepper but there's no dodging it entirely.]

Its a government mandate ordering superhumans like, well...us, to register with the government. Its something all the Avengers were involved with, yourself and my husband included. If you've got no recollection of it, then its something unique to my reality. Its a political mess, nothing more, just a good gauge to see if our timelines match up.

[Hopefully that'll deflect it]

And yea, twenty four years is a long time. Lots of changes from when we first got started. I kinda envy you, honestly, being so new to it all.

Well that, at least, is a relief.

[Her shoulders slump, anger subsided]

Sorry Billy. Its just hard to imagine coming home to my kids all grown up without me.
